Awards presented at Annual Dinner

Friday's Annual Brentham Cricket Club dinner saw the awards for the 2022 Season handed out.

Head of Juniors, Ciaran Brett (above) was awarded the Norman Howard Trophy for Club Person of the Year. Ciaran oversaw a section which earned promotion to the top Division of the Under-10, Under-11, and Under-15s leagues for this season as it continues to go from strength to strength.

Faizullah Khan (below) earned the 1st XI Arthur Thurland Memorial Trophy Performance of the Year award for his 6-42 against Highgate on the penultimate weekend of the season. That victory by 110 runs secured the 1st XI's survival in Division Two of the MCCL.

The Des Parker Cup for Young Player of the Year was awarded to Ahmad Shahid (collected on behalf of him by 2nd XI captain Saad Rehman). The 18-year-old scored 410 runs, with four 50s, at an average of 25.6. Ahmad scored 57 off 27 in the final to help The Trees win Division Two of the West London Whack. He also registered MCCL 50s for both the 2s and 3s, as both sides earned promotion last season.
